Hey thanks for recommending The Overstory to me, I just finished reading a sample and look forward to getting my hands on the book! I still have a wood chip from the enormous oak that grew outside my window when I was little – it was struck by lightning and lost half it’s crown in a wind storm. I came home one day to find they had cut it down and tucked a bit of the wood in my pocket.
