The dominant current flows toward greater mindlessness and conformity to the herd. Swimming against this current, I become more mindful and autonomous with each day. Swimming against the mainstream current is making me exceedingly strong. It is resistance training for the spirit.

I dreamed yesterday morning just before waking up that I was in a van being driven by Tony Soprano. Looked like we were driving down narrow streets in Italy or somewhere in Europe. Tony fell asleep at the wheel. We were about to plunge into water right when I finally succeeded in awakening him. He hit the breaks just in time. Then I woke up.
